THIS INDENTURE made the twentieth day of September 1707 in the Sixth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Ann Queen of England etc. Between Charles Reeves Gentl. of the Parrish of Stepney County of Middlesex England & heir to George Reeves of Virginia deceased of ye one part and JNO. GRYMES of County of Middlesex in Virginia Gent of other part Witnesseth that said Charles Reeves for sume of one hundred pounds have sold unto said Jno. Grymes his heires forever one devident of land or plantation conteyning Five hundred acres of land first granted by Patient to Jno. Appleton in October 1664 & by him sold to Thomas Reeves, from him it descended to Fran. & George Reeves & now to the above Charles Reeves, the surviving heir in the County of Middlesex in Virginia the North side of Peanketanck River beginning at a small branch N. crossing the Bever Dam thence NW to a marked red oake by a branch side in line that parteth this land & land of Capt. Brocus Timber Neck thence SW along the Timber Neck line to a read oake that parteth this land & land of John Jackson so E. along said Jacksons land to Pankatank River SE to the first specified place To Hold unto said Jno. Grymes his heires for ever Excepting ye right of Dower in the Widdow of George Reeves deceased & the said Charles Reeves for himself will warrant all the premises to said Jno. Grymes and this Indeture Witnesseth that abovesaid Charles Reeves for the better execution of these presents doth hereby appoint Sr. William Skipwith & Collo. Matthew Kemp, jointly & Severally to be said Reeves's Atturney in his name to acknowledge this present Indenture

At a Court held for Middx. County the 5th day of July 1708
Thomas Latham came this day into Court & made oath that he saw Charles Reeves Gentl. of ye Parish of Stepney & County of Middlesex in Kingdome of England signe seale & deliver the above to be his act & deed to Jno. Grymes of County of Middlesex in Virginia Gent.
At a Court held for Middx. County the Second day of August 1708 Walter Cocie came into Court & made oath that he see Charles Reeves above named execute this his deed.
