Transcription

This Indenture made the thirteenth Day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and forty Six Between Robert Harris of Edgecombe County of the Province of North Carolina of the one part & William Reves Junr. Of the other part Witnesseth that he the said Robert Harris for and in consideration of the Sum of Twenty pounds Sterling money of England to him in hand paid by the said Wlliam Reves Junr before the signing and ensealing of these presents all ready paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby confess and acknowledge himself therewith fully Satisfied contented and paid and of every part and parcel then? Of the said Robert Harris his heirs Exrs. Admrs and Assigns &c and every of them Doth hereby fully clearly and absolutely acquit and discharge Hath bargained Sold and doth by these presents bargain sell alien make over and confirm unto the said William Reves Junr his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns &c one certain Tract or parcel of Land containing two hundred acres be the Same more or less Situate lying and being in the county aforesd. Bounded aa followeth to wit Beginning at a wite oak thence South thirty Seven East one hundred Seventy pole to a pine then a cross line to the first Station mentioned to have hold and peaceably to enjoy the aforesd two hundred acres of Land with all houses orchards gardens woods ways waters underwoods and meadow grounds with all these and singular the improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the Said Land from the Claim right or Title of him the Said Robert Harris his heirs Exrs Adms or assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever to the only proper use and behoof of him the Said William Reves Junr his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns &c for and he the said Robert Harris for him Self his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns &c doth covenant promise and agree that he will from time to time and at all times forever hereafter against all person or persons whatsoever the right of the said Land and premises warrant and defend to the said William Reves Jr his heirs Exrs Admrs or assigns &c and that he the said Robert Harris his heirs &c Shall and will be ready at any time hereafter to make any further right conveyance or Title that he the said William Reves Junr his heirs &c or his or their councill learned in the law shall lawfully require in Witness Whereof the Said Robert Harris hath hereunto Set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
