In the name of God Amen I William Reeves of the province of North Carolina in the County being very Sick and weak of body but in perfect mind and memory thanks being given to God for the Same Calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die I make and ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to Say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul to the hands of Almighty God that giveth it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried at the Discretion of my Executors nothing Doubting but General Resurrection I Shall the same again By the Mighty power of God and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give divide and dispose of the same in the Following manner and form.
First I leave to my beloved wife Elender Reeves during her life her widowhood after my Just Debts are paid all and Singular my Estate, Excepting to Frederick Reeves one shot gun, to Richard Reeves one Shot Gun to Pedler Reeves (sic Peter?) one Shot Gun, to Hambletun Reeves one Shot Gun, and after her Decease to be Equally Divided amongst my Children, Frederick Reeves ~ and Henry Freeman I make my executors of this my last will and Testament and I hereby Utterly Disallow revoke and Disanull all and every other former Testament Wills, Legacies, bequests and Exrs by me in any wise made Willed and bequeathed, Rattifying and Confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 15 day of October in the year of our lord 1776.
Signed, Sealed published, pronounced & delivered by the Said William Reeves as his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto Subscribed our name

This will was presented in court and proved by the oath of Howell Freeman one of the witnesses hereto and the same was ordered to be recorded, And probate was granted to Frederick Reeves and Henry Freeman on the Executors who was Qualified accordingly
