Transcription

THIS INDENTURE made this Second Day of December the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty four Between Arthur Parr of the County of Rowan & State of North Carolina of the one part and Fortune Reeves of the County of Guilford & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Arthur Parr for and in consideration of the Sum of three hundred pounds Specie to him in hand paid by the Said Fortune Reeves the Receipt whereof he does hereby acknowledge he the said Arthur Parr hath Granted Bargained Sold and confirmed and by these Presents Doth Grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Fortune Reeves her heirs and assigns for Ever a Certain tract or Parcel of land Situate lying & being in the said county of Guilford on bouth (sic) sides of Mairs fork of Haw river it being Half a tract of land containing six hundred and forty acres Granted to Arthur Parr by Deed from Earl Granvil (sic) and resurveyed the twenty Eighth Day of December one thousand and Eighty two Beginning at two white oaks south Eas (sic) corner of Said Original tract running thence North on Jacob Brazells line crossing the said creek three hundred and twenty poles to a post Oak on Campbells line thence west on Jeremiah Reeves’s line and Richard Burton’s Line one hundred and Sixty poles to a post oak thence South on Hugh Robersons line crossing the said creek again three hundred and twenty Poles to a Spanish Oak on Thomas Lindsays line thence East on the said line one hundred and sixty poles to the first Station Containing in the whole three hundred and twenty acres together with all woods waters water courses and appurtenances belonging or in any wise appertaining to the Premises hereby Granted or intended to be Granted and the reversion and revertions (sic) the remainder and remainders and all the Services benefits and profits of the said Lands & Premises TO HAVE AN TO HOLD the said Land and other Premises unto the said Fortune Reeves her Heirs and assigns for Ever and the said Arthur Parr Dos (sic) hereby Grant for himself and his Heirs that he the said Arthur Parr and his heirs and Every of them shall and will warrant and for Ever Defend the said Land and other Premises unto the said Fortune Reeves her Heirs and assigns for Ever IN WITNESS whereof the said Arthur Parr has hereunto set his Hand and affixed his Seal the Day & year above written

The Execution of the within Deed of Sale from Arthur Parr to Fortune Reeves for 320 acres of land was proved by the oath of William Howlet a subscribing witness thereto and on Motion ordered to be registered.
