THIS INDENTURE made this 20th day of January Anno Dommini one thousand seven Hundred and Ninety Seven Between George Reves of the County of Grason & State of Virginia and William Reves of the County of Wilkes & State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the the (sic) Sd. George Reves for & in Consideration of the Sum one hundred pounds to him to him (sic) in hand paid by the said William Reves the Receipt whereof he the said George Reves doth acknowledge and himself therewith fully Satisfyd (sic) and paid hath Granted Bargained Sold Conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents Doth fully Clearly & Absolutely Grant Bargain Sell Convey & Confirm unto the said Wm. Reves his heirs and assigns forever a tract of Land containing six hundred acres lying in the County of Wilks on the South Side of the river Beginning at a chesnut tree at the mouth of a branch running thence North Eighty Degrees East three Hundred & forty forty (sic) poles down the several Meanders of Sd. River to a Conditional line Between Sd. Reves & David Colins to a White oak thence North Sixty degrees East one hundred & ten poles with Sd. Conditional line to a line & Branch on the bank of the River thence Down the several Meanders of Sd. River one hundred poles Crossing the Mouth of filing (?) Creek to a White hickory on the bank of Sd. River thence South Sixty Degrees East two hundred poles with a Conditional line Between Sd. Reves & Moses Tolliver to a white oake on the bank of the Creek Near Sd. Tollivers Mill dam thence South Crossing the Sd. Creek thence Crossing the Sd. Creek twice, three hundred & forty poles to red oak in the fork of Sd. Creek thence West two Hundred & forty Pole Ninty pole Crossing Creek to the first Station - with Every Right title & priviledge & Emoluments to the said Land Belonging or in any wise appertaining & the Sd. George Reves doth Bind himself his heirs Exetors & Administrators well & truly to warrant and Ever defend the aforesd. premises with all the appurtenances to him the Sd. Wm. Reves his Heirs & assigns free & Clear of all incumbrances & Claims whatsoever in Witness whereof the Sd. George Reves hath Signed
