John Reaves to Willis Reaves
Indenture made this 24th day of September one thousand eight hundred between John Reaves of the one fact and Willis Reeves (pg torn) of the other part both of the county of Orange and State of North Carolina, witnesses that the said John Reaves for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred pounds to him in hand paid by the said Willis the receipt where of he doth hereby acknowledge hath given Granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Willis Reaves a certain piece parcel of land and premises lying being situate in the County aforesaid on the waters of Back Creek Beginning at a black oak running North fifteen chains to a post oak thence east fifty chains to a post oak near a Road thence South forty five chains to a white oak thence West twenty five chains to a stake on said John’s old line thence North thirty chains to a Hickory thence West twenty five chains to the first station CONTAINING one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less and the Reversion and Revisions Remainder and Remainders Rents profits hereditaments and comodities whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any way pertaining also all the Estate Right Title properly claim interest (pg torn) and whatsoever as well in Equity as in Law of him the (pg torn-indecipherable)) of in and to the above mentioned Land and premises and (pg torn-indecipherable) parcel thereof to the Only proper use behoof of him (pg torn -indecipherable) his heirs and assignes forever to have and to hold the said (pg torn-indecipherable) as full and ample a ?? as they are noe (pg torn-indecipherable) John and the said John Reaves for himself and his (pg torn- indecipherable) and grant to and with the said Willis Reaves (pg torn - indecipherable) tract or parcel of land and premises hereby bargain ( pg torn) against him the said John Reaves his heirs Executor administrators forever with warrant and by these present forever defend witness whereof the said John Reaves hath herunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
