This Indenture made this Second day of January Eighteen Hundred and four between Asa Reeves and Sarah his wife of Fleming County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Peter Johnston of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Asa Reeve and Sarah his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to them in hand paid at and before the Sealing and Delivering of these presents the receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge the said Asa Reeve and Sarah his wife have granted Bargained Sold aliened and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain alien and Confirm unto the said Peter Johnston his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Fleming and on the waters of Fleming Creek ~ Containing One hundred Acres on which Eli Reeve formerly resided and bounded as follows Viz Beginning on Easleys Ridge at a Dogwood Beech and Hickory. Thence South twenty two Degrees West One hundred and Sixty poles to a Hickory and Sassafac (sic), Thence South Seventy one Degrees East One hundred poles to a Beech and Dogwood, Thence North twenty two Degrees East one hundred and Sixty poles to a Dogwood Hickory and Whiteoak, Thence North Seventy one Degrees North One hundred poles to the Beginning To Have and to hold said tract or parcel of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining unto the said Peter Johnston his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns forever to their only proper use and behoof and the said Asa Reeve and Sarah his wife for themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Peter Johnston his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend against them their Heirs Executors and Administrators and against the Claim or Claims of all other person or persons forever.
                In Witness whereof the said Asa Reeve and Sarah his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and date above written
