25 September 1806

THIS INDENTURE made this 25 day of September in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and six by and between William Rivers (sic Rives) of the one part and Archer Wiggins of the County of Franklin of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in the consideration of two hundred and sixty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Archer Wiggins the said William Reves (sic Rives) doth hereby acknowledge himself therewith fully satisfied and paid the receipt whereof he the said William Reves (sic Rives) hath hereby given and granted and by these presence doth bargain Sell and make over unto the said Archer Wiggins his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land lying and being in the County of Franklin on the waters of Cedar Creek and bounded as follows. Beginning at Jones Cook's Corner red oak and branch, thence North the various courses of the said Branch to a maple in Moses Neal's line thence West along his line to his spring branch, thence up the said branch to the fork Willey Rolands corner ash thence up the south prong of the branch to a red oak bush in Sampson Wiggins line, thence east to the beginning containing one hundred and thirty acres of Land be the same more or less together with all the appurtenances unto the said land belonging or appertaining thereto. To have and to hold the said land and premises and he the said William Reves (sic Rives) doth for himself his heirs executors administrators &c warrant and forever defend the said land and premises from the lawfull right of any person or persons whatever. In Witness of which he hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and year above written.
