THIS INDENTURE made this second day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seven between Isaac Reeves Senior of the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina of the one part and Peter Reeves of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witness that the sd Isaac Reeves for and inconsideration of the Sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the sd. Peter Reeves at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged by the sd. Isaac Reeves Sr. that he is fully Satisfied, contented and paid and by these presents the sd. Isaac Reeves hath given Granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and doth fully and clearly Give grant bargain and Sell and confirm unto him the sd. Peter Reeves his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land containing one hundred acres Lying and being in the County & State aforesaid on the waters of Hunting Creek the sd Hundred of Land being part of the tract of Land Granted by the State to Isaac Reeves Sr. Beginning on a back (sic black?) oak Saplin on the South Side of the creek on the old Line of a tract of one hundred acres Granted by the State to Sd. Isaac Reeves Sr. bearing date the fifth day of December one thousand Seven hundred and ninety eight and Running South thirty five poles to a white oak thence North and twenty eight poles to a hicory on the bank of the creek it being a conditional line between Sd. Reeves and William Jones then with Sd. creek upwards one hundred and Seventeen poles & a half to a chesnut on the sd Line of the Mill tract thence South twenty Six poles with the old Line to a pine thence east one hundred poles to a red oak thence North twenty Seven poles to a Stake thence east twenty seven (?) poles & a half to the beginning be the Same more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid hundred acres of Land Together with all ways woods waters and watercourses mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances Rights privileges and improvements to the Sd. Land in any wise belonging or appertaining thereto to the only use and behoof of him the Sd. Peter Reeves, his heirs & assigns forever and the Sd. Isaac Reeves himself and his heirs do hereby covenant and agree to and with the Sd. Peter Reeves his heirs and assigns Shall and may forever hereafter peaceable and quietly occupy possess and enjoy the aforesaid Granted Land and premises without the Least molestation of any person or persons whatsoever and the Sd. Isaac Reeves his heirs executors administrators and assigns do by these presents forever warrant and defend the aforesaid Granted Land and premises to him the Sd. Peter Reeves his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of any persons or persons whatsoever to the Sd. Peter Reeves Yielding and paying to the State Such Sums of money Yearly or otherwise as the General Assembly from time to time may direct. In witness whereof I the Sd. I. Reeves hath hereunto Set my hand and Seal the day and date first above written.
