This Indenture made this twenty second day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twelve between Joseph Hamrick of the County & state aforesaid of the one part & John Reeves of the same state & Cty of the other part Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of Sixty two dollars to him in hand paid at or before he sealing & delivering these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the sd Joseph Hamrick hath this day bargained sold delivered to the sd John Reeves a certain tract or parcel of land on Williamsons Creek containing fifty acres buting & bounding as followeth (to wit) Beginning on a Stake running S13 E.22 C 39 links ot a pine thence S79 W22 35 links to a stake hence N13 W to a stake thence to the beginning bounded on two sides by the said Hamricks land To have & to hold the afors’d tract of land & premises together with all & singular the rights members & appurtenances to the same being belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use benefit & behoof fo him the sd John Reeves his heirs & assigns I the afores’d Joseph Hamrick will warrant & forever defend the above tract of and & premises from the lawful claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever having nay claim to eh sd tract of land unto the sd John Reeves his heirs & assigns forever in fee simple In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & date first above written
