Transcription

THIS INDENTURE made the Twenty first day of August in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred & fifteen Between Frederick Reeves of Orange County & State of North Carolina of the one part and George Reeves of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said George Reeves for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty pounds current Money the Receipt whereof (sic) and doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold and Confirmed and by these presents grant bargain & Sell and Confirm unto Frederick Reeves his heirs & assigns forever a part or parcel of a certain Tract of Land Situate lying and being in the County aforesaid butted & bounded as followeth (To Wit, Begining at a Stake Thirty chains north of the Corner thence West thirty chains to a Stake thence South thirty chains to the Old line thence West along the old line Twenty One chains to a post oak thence north Eighty five chains to a Stake thence East fifty one chains to a Black Oak thence South fifty five chains to the first Station Containing by estimation Three hundred & forty three and a half - Acres be the same more or less and also all Woods Ways Water Courses and all & every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion & reversions remainder and Remainders Rents Issues & profits and demand whatsoever of the said George Reeves of in & to the Lands and premises hereby granted To have and to hold the aforesaid Land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Frederick Reeves his heirs & assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Frederick Reeves his heirs and assigns forever and the said George Reeves for himself & his heirs the aforesaid land & premises & every part thereof against him & his heirs and against the claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever to the said Frederick Reeves his heirs & assigns shall warrant & forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said George Reeves hath hereunto set his hand & Seal the day & date above written -
