This Indenture made this twenty Eighth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and twenty Nine and in the Fifty Second year of the American Independence Between Jeremiah Reeves of the State and County aforesaid of the one part and Silas Crawford of the State aforesaid and county of Clarke of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Jeremiah Reeves for and in the consideration of One hundred Dollars by the Said Silas Crawford to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and Sold unto the Said Silas Crawford his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land Containing Seventy acres more or less Situate being & lying on the Applachy River in the State aforesaid and County of Clarke, Beginning at a Hickory & on Hesters Line thence N62 E27 chs to a Red Oak & on Jones line thence S62 E to a post Oak & on Hesters line to post Oak & thence along Hesters Line ot the Beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all and singular the Rights Members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever unto the said Silas Crawford being belonging or in any wise appertaining to the aforesaid premises to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the aforesaid Silas Crawford & his heirs Executors administrators and assigns n fee Simple against the claims of he sad Jeremiah Reeves his heirs Executors administrators and assigns and against the claim of any other person or persons whatsoever. Shall and will warrant and forever Defend the Right title of the aforesaid tract of land unto him the foresaid Silas Crawford forever. In Witness Whereof I the Said Jeremiah Reeves have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal the day & date first above written.
