John Reves power of attorney to Enoch Reves
            State of North Carolina     }             Know all men by these presents
                        Ashe County           }             that I John Reves of the County of Ashe
And State aforesaid do hereby constitute & appoint Enoch Reves of sd. County and State my have (sic?) and lawful attorney for me and in my name & to appoint their attorney for the purpose of conveying into effect or final Judgment a certain suit now pending in the superior Court of Chancery for Wythe District State of Virginia wherein Jermills Terrells heirs & others are plaintiffs and James Cox and others are defendance, and further that the sd. Enoch Reves is empowered to make any Settlement & to account a full receipt for all or any part that may be calculated or paid by James Cox Towards the Judgment that is now obtained in the Court aforesaid against sd. Cox, and to do all and Singular every act and thing that I might or could were I personally present for me and my name and the rest of the heirs of Biddy Reves for which deceased I am the Administrators.
      In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22nd day of April 1833

Commentery

The name of one of the parties in this court case are written incorrectly in the Ashe County deed book and appeared to be "Jermills heirs" but the Grayson County Chancery Court file is clearly referring to the heirs of Timothy Terrell.
