The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these Presents, that I James B Reeves of Lancaster County in the aforesaid State, in consideration of Forty five Dollars to me in hand paid by James A. Weaner of the aforesaid State and County have Granted, Bargained, Sold, and Released, and by these Presents do Grant, Bargain, Sell, and Release, unto the said James A. Weaner, all of a certain piece parcel or tract of land situate and being in the State and County aforesaid on the head waters of Little Lynches Creek, bound on the South and East by lands of the said Jas. A. Weaner, on the North by land of W. W. Liles, on the West by land of Martin C. Bowers and Samuel W. Bowers, containing Twenty acres more or less.
Together with all and singular the Rights, Members, Hereditaments, and Appurtenances to the said Premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining, to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned, unto the said James A. Weaner his Heirs, and Assigns forever, and do hereby bind myself my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, to warrant and forever defend, all and singular the said premises unto the said James A. Weaner his Heirs and Assigns against myself and my Heirs and all other persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
Witness my Hand and Seal, this 14th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight, and in the 103 year of the Independence of the United States of America.

      Personally appeared before me M. C. Bowers and made oath that he saw James B Reeves sign seal and deliver the above Conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned; and that he with W. J. Lyles, in the presence of each other, witnessed the due execution thereof.
