At the Throttle

It is gratifying news to the many friends of Mr. Roscoe Reeves to know that he has been promoted to the position of regular engineer on the Louisville & Atlantic railroad, between Versailles and Beattyville. The promotion is a most worthy one. Roscoe has been in the service of this road for a number of years, working his way up, both as to position and in the favor of the road officials. He is a son of Mr. James Reeves, of this city, and is a boy that anyone might be glad to call friend. He possesses all the traits of true manhood and we congratulate the road he works for. This position is a special honor, since Roscoe is probably one of the youngest men who has a regular run as engineer. The Climax is indeed glad to know of his success and rapid promotion.
