Frederick Reeves is listed in Ancestry's census records for Granville County in 1790; however, he is also listed in York County SC in the 1790 census. The image of that York SC census page shows Frederick Reeves at the next residence to his brother Allen Reeves and appears to be correct. The Granville NC record in Ancestry includes no scanned image and those records have undoubtedly been taken from extant tax lists from the years 1785-1790 which is quite common when 1790 census records for a county were not available.

Letters of administration were granted to Wiley and James Reeves for the estate of Frederick Reeves on 16 Oct 1820. Frederick Reeves extensive estate totaled $11,000.47 which was divided among the nine heirs named above.

Several of the sons of Frederick Reeves - James, Hiram and Samuel, appear to have left York County, South Carolina shortly after the 1830 US Census and migrated to Obion County, Tennessee. By 1840 the same three Reeves individuals are recorded in Obion County, Tennessee in that census and again in 1850. However by the 1850 census Samuel Reeves appears to have died and his wife Jane is listed as the head of household.
