Narrative

Mary Reeves and John Gill had the following children:

1. Unknown Son, b. c1830, d. before 1850
2. William J. Gill, b. c1834, d. 7 Oct 1862
3. Elizabeth Ann Holloway Gill, b. c1836, d. c1892

John Gill was the son of Jesse Gill of Wake County whose estate was challenged in the Wake County Courts for many years and there is extensive documentation regarding the children of that family.

On April 1, 1856, John Gill deeded portions of the land left to him by his father to his living children, William and Elizabeth (Wake County Deed Book 21, pages 80 and 81).
