GREENFIELD - Funeral services for George Rives of Carrollton, father of Mayor George Rives Jr., were conducted at Shields Memorial Sunday afternoon. The Rev. George Mayo was the officiating minister and Mrs. L. C. Tendick was pianist.
Pallbearers were the following grandsons: Willard Rives, Carlinville; Elon Rivers, Alton; James Sawyer and Foster B. Rives, Wood River; George W. Rives, Louisiana, Mo., Charles Thaxton and George N. Rives.
