Transcript

Know all men by these presents that we James Revis of a place called Balltown yeoman, Josiah Brookins of Woolwich yeoman, and Annah Brookins wife of the said Josiah, the said James and Annah being children and coheirs of James Revis deceased, for and in consideration of ten pounds paid us by William Sevey of Pownalborough in said County Gentleman, the Receipt whereof we hereby acknowledge do hereby remise release sell and forever quit claim to the said William and his heirs all the Right Title and Interest which we have in a certain lot of land lying in said Pownalborough fronting thrity five Rods on Sheepscut Rover & boudning Northeasterly on land of Michael Sevey and Southwesterly on land of Isaac Young and to extend Northwest from said River holding the width of thirty five Rods untill one hundred acres be made up being No twelve in the survey taken by the Wiscasset Company and on which Lot the said William now dwells and is in possession of, which land descended to us as children and heirs to the said James Revis decd. To have and to hold the same to the said William Sevey and his heirs forever. In witness whereof we hereto set our hands and seals the fifth Day of November in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and eighty seven. James Revis and a seal. Josiah Brookins and a seal Annah (her mark) Brookins and a seal. Signed sealed & delivered in presence of Tho Price John Price Lincoln Js November 5. 1787. Then the said James Revis Josiah & Annah Brookins acknowledged the above to be their act and Deed. Before me Tho Rice Just Peace
