Transcript

The people of the State of New York by the Grace of God free and independent to all to whom these presents shall come as may concern send Greeting. Know ye that at the town of Canandaigua in the County of Ontario on the tenth day of Feby 1813 before me Reuben Slait Esquire surrogate of our said County the last will and testament of Silas Reeves deceased a copy whereof is hereunto annexed was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said deceased having whilst living and the time of his death goods chattels and credits within this State by means whereof the proving and registering the said will and the granting administration of all and singular the said goods chattels and credits of the said deceased and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the amount thereof doth appertain unto us, the administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said dececased and ? concerning his will is granted unto Rufus Reeves and Silas Reeves executors in said will named - In testimony whereof we have caused the seal of office of our said surrogate to be hereunto affixed Witness Reuben Slait Esq Surrogate of the said County at the town of Canandaigua aforesaid the tenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen and of our independence the thirty seventh

In the name of God Amen I Silas Reeves of the town of Lyons in the County of Ontario being week in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory that is to say
First I give and bequeath to my three daughters all my houshold furniture and moveable belonging to my house vz Eunis foster Anney Franklin and Elizabeth Reeves and I do also give and bequeath to my son Silas Reeves all my freehold estate real and personal not before described to his heirs and assigns forever - I do also give to my son Rufus Reeves one hundred dollars to be paid out of my real or personal estate I do also give to my son Edden Reeves fifty dollars to be paid out of my real or personal estate and after the eh?l division to my three daughters abovenamed I do also give unto my daughter Elizabeth Reeves, so long as she shall live unmarried one quarter part of my real estate after the several legacies is paid for her use so long as is above described
I do also hereby appoint Rufus Reeves & Silas Reeves sole executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen.
