The People of the State of New York by the Grace of God Free and Independent to all to whom these presents shall come or may concern send Greeting Know ye that at Goshen in the County of Orange on the Twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and seventeen before Edward Ely Esq Surrogate of our said County the Last Will and Testament of Elijah Reeve deceased (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death goods chattels or credits within this state by means whereof the proving and registering the said will and the granting administration of all and singular the said goods chattels and credits, and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto us, the administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his will is granted unto Mary Reeve the executrix and George F Reeve one of the executors in the said Will named they being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said Goods Chattels and credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required In testimony whereof we have cuased the seal of office of our said surrogate to be hereunto affixed. Witness Edward Ely Esq Surrogate of the said County at Goshen the Twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen and of our Independence the forty second.

I Elijah Reeve of the Towne of Deepark in the County of Orange and State of New York do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner following - First I give and bequeath to my loving wife Mary the full use and benefit of one third of all my estate rail and personal after my just debts are paid during her natural life or widdohood and the remainder of all my estate rail and personal I give and bequeath equally to my two sons George Fox Reeve and Elijah Concklin Reeve their heirs and assigns forever - they paying legicies hereafter mentioned - First I give and bequeath to my son Gabriel Reeve the sum of thirty Dollars to be paid in one year after my death, and to my daughter Fanny Newkirk I give and bequeath the sum of seven hundred Dollars to be paid at the exparation of one year after my death and as there is one obligation dated in the year 1813 remaining in the hands of my son Gabiel against me that is paid up for eight hundred dollars it is not my will or intention that obligation shall ever interfear with estate.
I revoke all wills by me heretofore made and appoint my wife Mary and my two sons George F Reeve, and Elijah C Reeve Executors to this my last will and testament made this thirteenth day of December one thousand Eight hundred and thirteen.

Orange County } Be it remembered that on the twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen personally appeard before me Edward Ely surrogate of the County of Orange Benjamin Tuthill who being duly sworn he did declare and say that he did see Elijah Reeve deceased sign and seal the paper writing then shewn unto him purporting to be the last will and Testament of the said deceased of which the preceeding is a true copy, and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last will and testament, that at the time thereof he the said deceased was of sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of his knowledge and belief and that he together with John Kerr Junr and Joseph Vail subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence of the Testator and in the presence of each other
The preceeding is a True Copy of the Original Will of Elijah Reeve deceased of the Certificate of the proof thereof and Letters testamentary thereon
