This Indenture made this 15th day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & twenty nine between the undersigned Commission of the Town of Somerville, in the County of Fayette & State of Tennessee of the one part and Willis Reaves of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina of the other part, Witnesseth: that for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty eight dollars and fifty cents to us in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, conveyed and confirmed unto the sd Willis Reaves & by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, convey confirm unto him the said Willis Reaves his heirs and assigns, all their right, title claim, & interest to lots in said town of Somerville known & distinguished in the plan of said town as lots no Eight & nine in Block A & six in block H. To have & to hold the said lots & bargained premises, together with all and singular the rights, profits, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use & behoof of him the said Willis Reaves his heirs & assigns forever and the said Commissioners for themselves & their successors in office, the said lots and bargained premises unto the said Willis Reaves his heirs & assigns, will forever warrant & defend the right & title thereof against the claim or all & every person or persons whatever.
In witness whereof, we the said Commissioners have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals, the day and date above written.

Fayette County}Then was the above Deed of conveyance from Town Commissioners to Willis Reaves produced in open court and the execution thereof duly proven by the oaths of Thos C Hudson & Jarman Koonce, subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be certified for registration. January 21st 1830.
