Transcript

I Joseph Reeves of Warren, in the County of Trumbull, and State of Ohio, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being advanced in years, but of sound and discriminating mind memory and understanding, blessed be God for his mercies, do make and publish this my last will and testament
After the payment of my just debts, I dispose of the worldly estate, wherewith it has pleased the Lord to entrust me in manner following to wit
I give and bequeath to my oldest son, Joseph Reeves, if he survives my the sum of ten dollars - I give and bequeath to the heirs of my second son, Enos Reeves, the sum of ten dollars. I give and bequeath to my third son Nathan S Reeves, if he shall survive me, the sum of one dollar, I give and bequeath to my daughter Abigail Gordon, the wife of James Gordon, the sum of seventy five dollars - I give and devise to my fourth son John Reeves a tract of land containing one hundred acres, lying in lot number four, in the township of Warren in the County of Trumbull and State of Ohio, being the whole of the farm on which the said John now resides, to have and to hold the same in fee simple forever
All the rest and residue of my Estate, after the payment of my just debts and the aforesaid legacies, as well my real as my personal property of every kind and description I give devise and bequeath to my youngest son, Isaac Fithian Reeves to have and to hold the same to him his heirs and assigns forever.
And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said son, Isaac Fithian Reeves of said Warren, to be the executor of this my last will and testament, In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Warren aforesaid, this twenty fourth day of September in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.

Signed, sealed, declared and published, by the above named Joseph Reeves, as, and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us the subscribers, who have subscribed our names hereto in the presence of the said Testator and of each other, on the day and year above written.
