In the name of God Amen I Cynthia Reeves of York District and state of South Carolina. I Cynthia Reeves do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows (Viz)

First it is my Will and desire that my Negro man Eli be sold and from the proceeds of that sale I direct all my debts to be paid and one fourth part of the balance of the proceeds of said sale to be given to each of my three Children James Allen, Robinson and Polly Reeves and the other fourth part, together with One Hundred and fifteen Dollars now due me by my son James Allen. It is my Will and desire should be equally divided between the children of my Daughter Betsey Blaylock when they arrive of age or marry

Second I also direct my Smith Tools to be sold and one third part of the proceeds I give to my son James Allen and the other two thirds to my Son Robinson Reeves

Third It is further my Will that the whole of my Household and Kitchen furniture all my Plantation tools and implements of every description all my Horses, Cattle and Hoggs and every article of Personal Property I own be sold and the Proceeds of said sale to be equally divided between my son Robinson Reeves and Polly Reeves

Fourth I will and bequeath all my right Title and interest in and to the Tract of Land whereon I live to my Son Robinson and Polly Reeves

Fifth and lastly I appoint my Son Robinson sole Executor to this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills Testaments.

York District    §    Scintha Reeves deceased by the oath of Elizabeth Baxter one of the Subscribing Witnesses thereto And at the Same time Qualified Robinson Reeves Executor viz named as such in Said Will 12 Decr 1838. Benj Chambers, OYD


Note: Cynthia Baxter Reeves was the widow of William Reeves who died before February 1818 when administration was granted for his estate.
