Transcription

This Indenture Made the Thirteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty nine Between Benjamin F Hinshaw & Margarett his Wife of the county of Henry and State of Indiana of the first part and Benjamin F. Reeves of the county of Hancock and State of Indiana of the Second part Witnesseth: that the Said party of the first part in consideration of two hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the Said party of the Second part, the Receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, Bargained, Sold, Conveyed, and Confirmed, and by these presents doth Grant, bargain, Sell, Convey and Confirm unto the Said party of the Second Part, his heirs and assigns, forever, the following described Real Estate lying in the County of Hancock and State of Indiana to=Wit: being the East half of the North East quarter of Section Number Twenty Seven (27) in Township Number Seventeen (17) North of Range Number Seven (7) East containing Eighty acres in the district of Lands Subject to Sale at Indianapolis Indiana To have and To hold the Said premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns Forever: hereby Covenanting that the title So conveyed, is clear free and unincumbered and further, that the Said Benjamin F. Hinshaw his heirs Executors and administrators, Will Warrant and forever defend the Same to the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns, against all legal claims whatsoever. In Witness whereof the Said Benjamin F. Hinshaw and Margaret Hinshaw his Wife who hereby Relinquishes her right of dower to the above described premises have hereunto Set their hands and Seals the day and year first above Written

County SS                         I Fielding Goble a Notary Public duly appointed and qualified according to Law for the County of Henry and State of Indiana do hereby certify that the above named Benjamin F. Hinshaw personally came before me and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of Writing to be his Voluntary act and deed for the and (sic) purposes therein mentioned. Also Margaret Hinshaw the wife of the Said Benjamin F. Hinshaw who being Examined by me privately, Separate and apart from, and without the hearing of, her Said husband, and the full Contents and purport of the Said deed being made known to her by me. She acknowledged that She Executed the Same of her own free Will and accord Without any Coercion or Compulsion from her husband In Witness of Which I have hereunto Set my hand and Notarial Seal, the day and year first above written
