Commentary

  1. The Condition column for uncle Thomas Reeves is not distinct, but on balance is most probably "Unm" unmarried.
  2. It is suspected grandson Henry Reeves is the child of John's son Henry and his wife Mary. This Henry junior appears with this parents a decade later on the 1861 census. (RG9, Piece 0606, Folio 96 reverse, Page 10.) At that time, they are neighbours of John's widow Silvester.
  3. The surname of lodger William is not distinctly written, although Woolven seem the most probable interpretation. FamilySearch has a baptism for a William Woolven in Horsham in Feb 1835 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NBJC-1N1, perhaps fitting this individual. There is currently no known family connection.
