To the Honorable Richard M. Neilson Judge of the Probate Court in & for the County of Amite - State of Mississippi - May Term 1867
                                    Your Petitioners would respectfully show unto your Honor that they are by appointment of this Honorable Court Executors of the Last Will & Testament of John Reeve Decd.
That their Testator died possessed of about 70 head of sheep, about 60 head of cattle, Lot of Household & Kitchen furniture, a Shot gun & 6 Bee hives. That their Testator left no family and that all of the foregoing property is now of no use to the Estate and is likely to decrease in value -
                                    Your Petitioners would therefore pray your Honor to grant them an order for the Sale of all the cattle except of yoke of Oxen all the Sheep, household & kitchen furniture, shot gun & Bee game (?) upon such terms as to your Honor may seem proper -

To the Honorable Richard M. Neilson Judge of the Probate Court in & for the County of Amite - State of Mississippi - July Term 1867
                                    The undersigned Executors of the Last Will and Testament of John Reeve deceased respectfully report that by virtue of the order of this Honorable Court made at the May Term 1867, thereof directing them to sell certain unproductive personal property - of their Testate described in their application in this behalf, after notice made & duly given according to the Statute and the directions of said order they did on the 17th day of June A.D. 1867 at the late residence of this Estate between the hours prescribed by law proceed to sell the said personal property ot the highest bidder on a credit of twelve months from the day of sale, and did then & there so expose for sale at public outcry the said personal property in Lots or parcels to wit purchasers having a due regard for the interest of said Estate until the hour of closing said sale, at which time the same not being concluded it was then & there announced to the bystanders that said sale would be continued upon the same terms & at the same place on the day following - And on the 18th day of June A.D. 1867 said sale was continued as above until the same was concluded for a full account of which sale with the names of purchasers and the highest amount bid for the several articles Your Executors beg leave to refer your Honor to the account sales herewith filed marked Exhibit A and pray it be made part of this report said sale amounting to the aggregate sum of $1811.95 - These Executors for proof of legal & proper notice of said sale beg leave to refer your Honor to Exhibit B herewith filed -
                                    And these Executors further report that the said purchasers at said sale have given notes with approved security for the payment of the terms ? & by them respectively for said personal Estate or have paid cash -

And these Executors having now fully reported their proceedings on this behalf pray that said sale may be approved and confirmed by this Honorable Court -
