This Indentun made and xxxxxx into on this tho 16th day February 1881 by and between Jesse Carroll and E. M. Carroll, parties of the first part and Jane Jordan party of the second part all of the County of Lauderdale and State of Alabama xxxxxxx, That the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by the party of the second part the xxxxxx of which is hereby acknowledged have xxxxxx xxxxxx sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell and convey to the party of the second part a certain tract or parcel of land lying and situated in the County of Lauderdale and State of Alabama known and designated as the East fourth of the N. E. 1/4 of section three Township Two R13 West also five acres off the South boundary of S. W. 1/4 of the N. E. 1/4 of sec three, T, two R13 west running along or beginning at the South West corner of the N. E. 1/4 to the line or branch thence East to the xxxxxx end of the line thence South Seventy yards to the line thence along said line to the beginning Containing in all forty five acres more or less to have and to hold to the said Jane Jordan party of the second part in xxxxxx, In testimony whenof tho parties of the first part have xxxxxx set xxxxxx hands and affixed them seals as first and before written,

Lauderdale County.................I John McCorcle Justice of the Peace for the County and State aforesaid hereby certify that Jefse Carroll whose name assigned to the forgoing conveyance and who is known to me acknowledged before me on this day that being informed of the content of the conveyance be executed the same xxxxxxxxx on tho day tho same xxxx date. Lauderdale County}.....County and State aforesaid do hereby certify
that on the 16th day of February 1881 come before me the within named E. M. Carroll known to me to be the wife of the within named Jefse Carroll who being by me examined Separate and apart from her husband touching her signature to the within Conveyance acknowledged that she signed the same of her own free will and accord and without fear constraint or persuasion of her husband, witness my hand this tho 16th day of February 1881.
