Commentary

Note that Augustus does bequeath something to the children from his marriage with Mary Ida Schee, including James Walter Reeves (note that James Walter Reeves, tended to go by J. Walter Reeves as an adult). Interestingly, he leaves only a minimal amount to his two sisters, Mary E. Reeves Wells and Anna Belle Reeves Park, who had both moved out of state. He leaves much more to his other siblings, including Issadora Norword Reeves Fox and Alice Salomia Reeves Ogan. Margan M Reeves, noted in the will, is actually Morgan Morris Reeves (the will includes a misspelling). Also, the source of the will cited below includes a mistake in the date of the will, in the final paragraph, where the clerk mistakenly states that the will is dated February 28, 1927, while, in the next paragraph, witnessing that he set his hand and affixed the seal of the court on 18 January 1927.
