Narrative

No definitive proof has been found thus far establishing the parentage of Patsy Allen and linking her to Mary Reeves and Bartlett Allen; however, based upon research of the Allen families in Wake County at the time of Patsy's birth and marriages, it is reasonably certain that she is their child.

Patsy first married in 1817 Nash Stanly, the brother of her older sister Elizabeth's husband Wright Stanly. Wright Stanly was bondsman for the marriage. Nash Stanly apparently died sometime before November 1823 for as Patsy Stanly, she married on 29 Nov 1823 Ransom White and again her brother-in-law Wright Stanly was bondsman.

Ransom White was present in 1825 at the sale of the estate of John Reeves but no further record of either he or Patsy can be found after that date in Wake County or elsewhere.
