Reeves Y-DNA Project Updates - June 2004

Originally notified to the Reeves-L mailing list by the late Beulah McCain on 21 June 2004 (accessed April 2019) and reformatted for inclusion here.


Barry has posted more results on the DNA page. We have 11 signed up now but all the results haven't come in. There are two that ordered kits that haven't mailed them back. I hope one day those that have had the 12 marker test will upgrade to the 25 marker as so much more information is learned.

We are in hopes someday to form family groupings that can work together and help each other. I know it takes time but eventually we will have enough to participate. So when you can, please have the DNA test. We need people from each of the Reeves families regardless of how you spell your name. I know in my reseach I found my ggrandfather had his name spelled two different ways in the same document. Sometimes it depended on who was doing the writing.

Looking forward to more results coming in and more have joined the project.
