Reeves Y-DNA Project Updates - June 2005 [2]

The family line has been posted to the DNA website for

    Kit  33172 for Thomas Dale Reeves

Thomas traces his descent from Henry Reeves, Sr of Old Rappahannock, Virginia. Please note that another participant Roy Everett Reeves # 20739 also traces his descent from Henry Reeves, Sr., although FamilyTreeDNA did not identify them as a match. Ten of their first 12 markers match. Of the two markers that don't match, one of the markers DYS439 is expected to mutate. However they are different on marker DYS389-2 which does not normally mutate.

I know there are several more on the list that trace their descent from Henry Reeves, Sr. including David Leroux. I would suggest that Thomas and Roy assume they will be in the same group at this point and compare their research notes with each other.1 I would also like to encourage comments and suggestions from the others working on the Henry Reeves, Sr line.
