Reeves Y-DNA Project Updates - March 2012 [2]

All, I hope everyone is enjoying the new year. It has been unseasonably warm here in the Memphis, Tennessee area. We did not have much of a winter to speak of. I know you are all just as excited as I am about getting back into the routine of yard work. Yeah, right.

Anyway, I would like to welcome our latest member to join the Reeves DNA Project
Kit 233445 for Robin Phillip Reeve
He has ordered the Y-DNA 67 marker test. Hopefully he will see a match very soon. I know that many of you are still waiting patiently for a match. Some of you have been waiting several years. I know it's disappointing, but please don't give up hope. Every new member that joins us is another possibility for a match with those of you that have been waiting the longest. Who knows, maybe our newest member Robin will turn out to be a long lost cousin for one of you. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

You know, the Reeves DNA project has been going on now for about eight years. For many of you, it has been a very exciting time in your family research. We have over a dozen match groups, several of which are very actively working together to fill in the gaps in their family history by using the results of their DNA tests. I have personally found several exact matches with cousins I didn't know anything about before the DNA project. I think that DNA testing has been one of the most important tools for family researchers to come along so far. . . . see Rootsweb for the remainder of this post.

Best Regards,
