Carmarthenshire, otherwise the County of Carmarthen and Sir Caerfyrddin in Welsh, lies on the south central coast of Wales. To the east it is bordered by Brecknockshire, to the south east by Glamorganshire, to the south by the Bristol Channel, to the west by Pembrokeshire and to the north by Cardiganshire.The historic county town is Carmarthen.
