Hursley, Hampshire

Location

Hursley is a large parish located towards the west of the county of Hampshire. The village is slightly south of the centre of the parish of the same name. Parish Registers

"A History of the County of Hampshire: Volume 3" (pub 1908) indicates ten early registers exists...
The first five books of registers, containing mixed entries, run as follows:—1600–39, 1640–53, 1653–66, 1665–1706, 1706–53. The sixth and seventh books contain baptisms and burials, 1755–82, and the eighth the same, 1783–1820. The ninth and tenth contain marriages, 1754–1813.

Adjacent (Pre 1832) Parishes

To the north east Hursley is bounded by Weeke & parishes in the City of Winchester and to the east by Compton and Otterbourne. North Stoneham and North Baddesley are to the south with Romsey, Michelmersh and Farley Chamberlayne to the west. Sparsholt is to the north west.
