The son Malachi Reeves, ID 593.i., listed as marrying Sinai Spanner, was not the son of Malachi Reeves (son of Jeremiah) and Rhoda Howell.
He was named as a son of Samuel Reeves in his pension statement filed in Lincoln County, Tennessee. Samuel Reeves' Revolutionary War pension statement says he entered the service from Rowan County, North Carolina. He was listed in the 1790 census in Granville County, North Carolina living next door to Samuel Brack who was presumably his father-in-law. This family is found in Lincoln County, Tennessee by 1820 where Malachi Reeves, born 1796, is listed that year.
Both Malachi and his brother William Reeves are mentioned in the RW Pension Statement (W56) of Samuel Reeves. Malachi testified on his mother's behalf for her widow's pension in Tennessee in 1840.
