Elizabeth Reeves is named in the guardian records of Wake County as one of the minor heirs of John Reeves who died in 1824. A deed to heirs was recorded on 13 Feb 1830 in Wake County Will Book 21, Page 228 dividing John Reeves' land between his nine children which included Elizabeth.

In August of 1834 Jarratt Broadwell and Elizabeth, his wife, sold her portion of John Reeves' land as well as her interest in the estate of her grandfather Major Holloway, to her uncle James Holloway who had been her guardian. The deed for that transaction is recorded at Deed Book 11, Page 507 in Wake County.

Elizabeth and Jarrat Broadwell are listed in the Wake County census records from 1850 thru 1880.
