A Power of Attorney was recorded in Orange County, North Carolina in May Court of 1858 giving Henry McDaniel authority to act on the behalf of the executors of the Estate of James M. Reeves. The executors were Frederick Lenox and his wife Antoinetta Lenox, formerly Reeves who were interested in collecting any legacies still due to James Reeves from the estates of his father Frederick Reeves or Hugh Currie, father of his deceased mother Edith Currie Reeves.
