Obituary From Findagrave:
Samuel J. Reeves 80, of Porterville died unexpectedly Tuesday. He was a native of Tennessee and had lived in this vicinity for 34 years prior to moving to Porterville a short time ago. He is survived by five sons, Archie Reeves of Laton, Cleatus Reeves of Hardwick, Floyd Reeves of Vista and Troy Reeves of Grover City and Lawrence Allen of Vallejo; and one daughter, Mrs Alma Wheeless of Porterville; one brother, Vester Reeves of McKinney, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs Eunie Rigsby and Mrs Georgia Hayse, both of Salina, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the People's Undertaking Parlor on Saturday, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of People's Undertaking Parlor.
