The marriages and children's births are listed in Southold town records in Libers D & E and included in the The New York genealogical and biographical record, vols. 38 & 39.

The death of Thomas Reeves' first wife Bethiah is recorded in the Salmon Records on 3 May 1716 after which in 1719 he remarried to Mary Wells. Thomas's death and both his marriages are also included in the Salmon Records.

Thomas Reeves is recorded in the records of the hamlet of Cutchogue in Suffolk County, New York. The 1940 History of Cutchogue by Wayland Jefferson on page 38 refers to "Thomas Reeves the blacksmith, successor to Thomas Tunsten." Southold Town Records, Liber D, show Thomas Reeves "smith" was appointed constable in 1718.

In a deed included in the Terry Manuscript abstracts, Henry Wells sold some land to "Thos Reeves Blacksmith." Terry wrote the year down wrong but would be 17?8. The land was said to be in the "Second Division of Ac" (probably Aquebogue).

Thomas appears on a list of freeholders in Suffolk County in 1737.

The will of Thomas Reeves was written 11 Feb 1735/6 and proved in Suffolk County on 5 Jun 1739 and recorded in New York in Liber 13, pg. 259. It only mentions his wife Mary and son Abner.

Thomas and a number of family members are buried in the Old Burying Ground of First Presbyterian Church Southold, Suffolk County, New York.
