Kent King Rives, now of Detroit, Michigan, was born at Greenfield, Illinois, and brought up on the farm of his father. After graduating from the Greenfield High School he attended the University of Illinois as a member of the class of 1909. For a number of years he was manager of the Remington Typewriter Co., at Fresno and Sacramento, Calif., and later a salesman for the Company in St. Louis and Milwaukee. Since 1920 he has been employed by the Underwood Typewriter Co.
