Gorge, born 25 September 1792, entered the Royal Navy, rose to the rank of Rear Admiral and was made a Commander of the Bath; died July 1858 and was buried at Ewerne Courtney. He married Charity, third daughter of Thomas Theobald of Gray's, co. Essex. And thus endeth what is known of the eldest male line of Ryves of Randleston.
