Wiki Stats - End April 2021

The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 May 2021) now stands at 10869 (previously 10841, 10759, 10703) a modest increase of 28 pages during the month. Of the total, 2102 pages (was 2102, 2063, 2043) begin with a number and are most probably a date related gleaning.     We currently have 4637 wiki pages categorised as "People", of which 4130 begin with the letter "R".

The more observant will notice that the rate at which TRP has been adding new pages over the past six months has flattened out a little. Much of the activity within TRP flows from the keyboards of a very few dedicated users. For the past few months Beverly and Jonathan have been diligently working to enrich the content on a vast number of pages associated with the US Federal Census held in TRP, rather than adding new pages. As ever, we are grateful for their continued support.

TRP Users

We ended April 2021 with 465 user accounts registered in TRP, a decrease of four over the previous month. Yes, spring is in the air here in the northern hemisphere and we've done a bit of housekeeping. We have actually added four new user accounts during April and removed eight accounts which had never been activated by the requesting user.   We had three users successfully activated their account during the past month. We welcome to our community Lisa, Kyle and Mary Ellen. Both Lisa and Mary Ellen have successfully created an AboutMe page for themselves and we look forward to interacting with them on the Mentor Team Talk pages as described in First Steps - Part 3 soon and helping them grow as TRP contributors.

Whether you joined TRP recently or a while ago, if you have yet to do so, please set a meaningful name for yourself as described in First Steps - Part 1. It isn't difficult and only takes a couple of minutes to do. If it helps, think of it as a name label badge; so your first name plus surname (or at least surname initial) would generally be a good choice.
