Georgia }Columbia County } This Indenture made this the 26th day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and forty five, Between Stephen G. Reeves of the County and State aforesaid on the one part and Charles Reeves of the same place on the other part. Witnesseth that the said Stephen G. Reeves for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Charles Reeves the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted bargained sold & conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto him the said Charles Reeves his heirs and assigns, the one half of all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the twenty fifth District of Cherokee, said lot or parcel of land distinguished in the plan of said District by the number twenty two, said lot or parcel of land containing one hundred sixty acres, said lot or parcel of land originally drawn by and granted to Stephen G. Reeves of Adams District Columbia County Georgia.
To have and to hold the one half of the before described tract parcel of land unto him the said Charles Reeves his heirs & assigns.
Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to his hand their own proper use & benefit & behoof forever in free simple. And the said Stephen G. Reeves for himself his heirs Executors & administrators the one half of the before described tract or parcel of land shall and will warrant and forever defend against the claims of himself themselves & against the claim of all other persons whatever.
