The only documentation currently located documenting Ann Frazer Gatewood as the daughter of Patience Gatewood Farguson is a 1779 Agreement between Joseph and Patience Farguson and Ann in regard to a suit Ann had initiated in Henry County Court in regard to several slaves due her. [Henry County VA DB 1 p258]

John Wash was a Revolutionary War soldier and after the Revolution the family left Virginia and moved to Cumberland County, Kentucky.
