In the Franklin County, Tennessee Court Minutes of 1832, a deed of Trust is recorded from Nathan Reeves to Lewis Tarwater and William Greenlee for 155 acres of land lying in Marion County.

An 1839 plat map of the very north east corner of Alabama in Jackson County shows Nathan Reeves living in close proximity to Edward Reeves, a Jesse Reeves (presumably his son), an Elisha Reeves, and a James B Reives.

Research Notes

There is speculation that Nathan was the son of William Rives who died in 1828 in Iredell County, North Carolina.
