In the name of God amen, I John Reeves of Prince Wm County, Planter being very weak and low of body but of perfect memory & understanding thanks be to God calling to mind the mortility of my body & knowning that it is appointed for all men once To die...constitute appoint and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form as follows, Principally & first of all I recommend my sould into the hands of Almighty God who made my body to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the Discretion of my Executors. Nothing doubting but at the...Resurrection. I shall....the same again by the mighty powers...this worthy estate where...it hath pleased God to Bless me in this life I give --- Dispose and devise in the following manner and form.Imprimis, I give unto Isaac Reeve one shilling sterling
Item, I give unto my grandchildren the lawful issue of my son George Reeve deceased one shilling sterling.
Item, I give unto Daughter Jemima Williams one shilling sterling.
Item, I give and bequeath unto Daniel OBrian one negro wench named Mona, one negro girl named Moll, and one negro boy named Daniel together with my household furniture and stock excepting only two cows and calves.
Item, I give and bequeath unto Thomas Bird one negro girl named Sharlot.
Item, I give and bequeath unto William Matthew one negro girl named Lucy.
Item, I give and bequeath unto Margaret Ollaid one cow and calf excepting in my gift to Daniel OBrian
Item, I give and bequeath unto Mary Shaw one cow and calf before excepted in my gift to Daniel OBrian
My will and desire is that my daughter Ann Reeve should be taken care of and maintained during her natural life by Daniel OBrian out of the estate I have willed him,
Lastly I constitute & appoint Thomas Bird and Daniel OBrian executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th day of April 1782.

At a court held for Prince William County the 5th day of August 1782, This last will and testament of John Reeves deceased was presented to the court by Danial OBrian who made oath to the same according to law and being duly proved is admitted to record and the said executor having performed what is usual in such cases. Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
