Transcript

Be it known that I Isaac Reeves of Woodbury in the County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey being advanced in years but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding have thought proper to make my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say
First I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied by my executors herein after named as soon as convenient after my decease.
Second All the rest residue and remainder of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever read, personal and mixed including my interest in the fisheries at Red Bank both above and below the Ferry at Red Bank and also, my interest in lands in the County of Columbiana in the State of Ohio, be the same more or less, with the appurtenances, I give devise and bequeath unto my two sons Isaac Cooper Reeves of Philadelphia, and Clement Reeves of Delaware to hold the same to them their heirs and assigns forever each holding and owning one equal half part thereof.
Third I nominate and appoint my two sons Isaac Cooper Reeves and Clement to be the executors of this my last Will and Testament, revoking all former Wills by me made.
In testimony thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.

Signed, Sealed, published, pronounced and declared by the said Isaac Reeves to be his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who at, his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Gloucester County S S John C. Smallwood and Samuel Ogden witnesses to the within will, alleging themselves to be conscientiously scrupulus of taking an oath and each being duly affirmed according to law on their solemn affirmation say, that they and each of them saw Isaac Reeves the testator therein named, sign and seal the same, and heard him publish pronounce and declare the within writing to be his last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory as far as these affirmant know and as they and each of them verily believe and that Martha J. Brown the other subscribing witness was present at the same time and signed her name as witness to the said Will together with these affirmants in the presence of the testator.

Gloucester County S S Isaac Cooper Reeves and Clement Reeves the executors in the within testament named, the said Isaac Cooper Reeves, alleging himself to be conscientiously sempulous of taking an oath and being duly affirmed according to law, and the said Clement Reeves being duly sworn according to law in their affirmations and oaths say that the within instrument contains the true Last Will and Testament of Isaac Reeves the testator therein named so far as they know and as they and each of them verily believe, that they will well and truly perform the same by paying forst the debts of the said deceased and then the legacices in the said testament specified so far as the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased can thereunto extend, and that they will make and exhibit, into the surrogate's office of Gloucester County a true and perfect inventory of a;; and singular the goods, chattels, and credits of the said deceased that have or shall come to their knowledge or possession or to the possession of any other person or persons for their use and render a just and true account when thereunto lawfully required

I Samuel A. Groff, Surrogate of the County of Gloucester do certify the annexed to be a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Isaac Reeves, late of the County of Gloucester, deceased, and that Isaac Cooper Reeves, Clement Reeves, the executors therein named proved the same before me and are duly authorized to take upon themselves the administration of the estate of the testator agreably to the said Will
Witness my hand and seal of office the fifteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.
