Transcript

I Samuel H Reeves of the City of Brooklyn County of Kings and State of New York being of sound mind memory and understanding, hereby make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament.
First I order and direct the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses
Second I give and bequeath to my brother William E. Reeves the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500).
Third All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real and personal, of every name and nature, I order and direct my executors hereinafter named to divide into Ten (10) equal shares or parts and I hereby give, grant, devise and bequeath the same as follows:
I. To my sister Lucretia M. Reeves, Four (4) of such shares or parts
II. To my sister Anna J. Reeves one (1) of such shares or parts
III. To my wife Caroline V. Reeves Five (5) such shares or parts
Fourth I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my wife Caroline V. Reeves executrix, and my brother William E. Reeves executor of this my last Will and Testament with power to sell and dispose of any and all my estate, real or personal, at public or private sale, at such times and upon such terms and in such manner as to them shall seem expedient and to execute any and all necessary and proper conveyances thereof
Fifth I hereby revoke all other and former wills by me made.
In Witness whereof I have hereto subscribed my name and affixed my seal at the City of New York the Eleventh day of March AD 1884
