Son Amarjiah Reeves is buried in the Phillips Cemetery, Schuyler County, Illinois. It states he was "son of A. & A. Reeves." It's interesting that Reuben Ransom Reeves also had a son named Amaziah H. Reeves. Reuben was likely a brother of Alvin as they both lived in Allen County, Kentucky at the same time. This could mean that Amaziah is a family name from the Reeves side; however, it is more likely that Nancy Reaves who married Amaziah Howard in Allen County, Kentucky in 1823 was Alvin's sister. Alvin Reeves is named in several documents in the estate file of Amaziah Howard in Fulton County, Illinois.

In 1845, Charles Morton of Adams County, Illinois sold some land in Schuyler County, Illinois to Alvin A. Reeves of Schuyler County, Illinois. That same year, Alvin A. & Ann C. Reeves of Schuyler County, Illinois, sold some land to Willis Dearing in Allen County, Kentucky.

Findagrave claims he died in 1871 and is buried in the David Thomson Cemetery, Georgetown, Pettis County, Missouri.

An application for Letters of Administration on his estate from 1871 named all his heirs and their places of residence.

Research Notes

This may be a brother of Reuben Ransom Reeves. Besides Reuben Ransom Reeves and Nancy Reeves who married Amaziah Howard, Levi Reeves who married in Allen County, Kentucky in 1835 may also have been a sibling.
